P.A. Skantze

Title: Making and Thinking Out Loud

Bio: P. A. Skantze, Reader in the Drama, Theatre and Performance Studies Department at Roehampton University, directs, writes for and teaches theatre and performance in London and in Rome. Her book Stillness in Motion in the Seventeenth-Century Theatre was published by Routledge in 2003. She has written essays on dance, Shakespeare, sound, gift exchange and contemporary performance in Europe. She is currently completing "Itinerant Spectator/Itinerant Spectacle,” a book exploring flaneuring spectatorship in contemporary European theatre. Among the upcoming projects for Four-second Decay, a performance group she founded with Matthew Fink, are a staging of her radio play, All that Fell, an ‘experiment in physical radio’ in New York in April 2009 as well as a performance of Anne Carson's Cassandra Float Can in London in February 2009.
